Their role is to implement the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

Home and Living
The NDIS can assist participants to live independently. Participants and their families can discuss their home and living goals as part of their planning conversation. A participant's plan will include the supports the NDIS will fund as well as the supports the participant will need to access through the housing system.
Working with Providers
Providers are critical to the success of the NDIS. We need a strong and vibrant provider market that contributes to improving outcomes for participants. A provider is a person, business or organisation who delivers NDIS funded supports to participants. Providers have different areas of experience and expertise.

There are many benefits to having a job, and we want to help NDIS participants who want to work, to get the job they like and keep it. Having a job expands social networks, raises living standards, and increases financial independence and self-worth. There are a lot of ways that we can help you to pursue your employment goals.
Rights and Responsibilities
Anyone with access to NDIS funds must follow relevant Australian laws, rules and regulations. We are here to help you use your NDIS funds lawfully. We want to help you do the right thing. You have rights and responsibilities when choosing what supports you want to buy with your NDIS funds.
